Layla Ley – Spanish Rose

How to sum up this song? Two minutes of pure pretty vocal acrobatics. And them BV’s! Layla Ley lays down something beautiful to grab your attention and get your waist in motion.

Spanish Rose playfully and alluringly tells the story of rejecting a players advances and I’m sure said player wouldn’t mind being let down if she sang this directly to him. Skills.

It’s not the kind of music you would expect from a Londoner but it’s refreshing to hear her show off her musicality. Her first single of the year can only be a tatser of what more she will have to release as it progresses.

The other great thing about this track is that it puts you in the prefect mood for salsa and Sangria without feeling like a culture vulture, it’s not hard these days to be accused 😅.

What’s next Layla Ley? I’m ready…
